Battlestar Galactica Viper
Taking a short break from working on Gangsterville, will continue in about a week.
I started a second project so I wouldn't get burned out on GangsterVille.
I am going to create a cpl ships from the movie Battlestar Galactica, and do a short animation of the ships in combat.
Here is a peak at the base model for my version of the Viper. I still need to build the engines weapons, cockpit and other inner objects. I have about 45 minutes in this. I put together a cpl drawings of how I would like it to look. Referenced a little info up on the internet so I can build it to scale. The Viper is roughly 29 to 30 feet in length and a one man fighter. There are altered versions that seat two.

Painted Coupe
Here are a few pics with paint shaders applied to the coupe, and a very basic lighting and HDR setup. I just wanted to get a idea of what she would look like. Hope you enjoy.
I would also like to give a big thanks to all of you at Digital Tutors that have offered helpful advice.
I added two more pics, that show the interior. Though the lighting rig wasn't set up to render the inner car , you can still see it and get a idea of how it will look..

40 Ford Coupe
I am just getting started on the working model of a 1940 Ford Coupe. I am finding it challenging as most of my modeling experience has been with static models. And for this project I want the car to function realistically, doors open , hood and trunk as well as a believable interior for high resolution close ups.
Challenging but very interesting and fun.

building b and c
GangsterVille
I am just getting started so there are only a few pics at the moment.
I have about 8 hours invested in GangsterVille so far.
I intend to model a small part of New York City from the 1940's.
A barbershop , 2 apartment buildings, and a speak easy.
4 to 6 stylized human characters
3 automobiles from the 40's
Then to complete the project, I hope to create a short animation..
A 1940 Ford coupe rounds the corner, and parks across the street. A rather large well dressed man exits the car and heads for the barbershop. Frank the barber is busy cutting the local Dons hair like he does every Monday at 10am. The door opens and hot lead fills the room.
